It's not a complicated history. I stumbled upon (fine, I was searching for it) a guy version of this - Ask a Guy at argville.com or something like that - and so I thought, hey, there must be a girl version.
I did stumble onto some forums, and it struck me as strange that the questions dudes were asking about girls were usually answered by guys. WHY????? Common sense tells me, if you've got a question about a girl/her behaviour/whatever female thing, you should be asking another female. Not a guy. Even if he pretends to knows women/females well. Because...he's just a poser. Unless he's a drag queen.
So I decided to set this up. The guy version is so popular that he doesn't answer all his questions. Well this is not a popularity contest but I thought, hey, at least I would be doing something fun and hopefully useful.
Some ground rules:
1. Do NOT ask me about rude biology stuff, or even unrude biology stuff. Don't ask me about girly parts EVER, unless it's stuff like what's the difference between Kotex and Whisper, that kind of harmless question. I mean, sure you can ask me, but I probably won't answer. I'm thinking more along the lines of....when you can't understand a girl's behaviour, that kind of thing.
2. Disclaimer: I'm not pretending to have fact, it's just my opinion and mine alone. Maybe some people feel that guys are more or less the same in the way they operate. Personally, I feel girls are, in comparison, not that ....similar to each other. You can probably find girls with very different opinions/modus operandi, and a fair share of each type. So whatever I say, I'll probably try to consider all possible viewpoints, but I'm shaped by my own beliefs and values.
3. Which would probably make it helpful to know my "profile": I'm in my mid-twenties, Asian, living in an English-speaking country (which kind of narrows it down a lot. If you don't know which country I feel rather sorry for you.). I am fully employed (right now, anyway) as an administrator (I think that description should suffice.), and I have a bachelor's degree in liberal arts (what exactly, I'm not going to specify.).
I've had 1 relationship that I consider a relationship, and that's probably not making me an expert, but who the hell is? But I've doled out advice and listened to my fair share (I like to joke that I'm like a Catholic priest, because my friends always confess shit to me), and as yet, no one has told me my advice is bullshit.
4. Of course, you are free to ask me other shit too. Maybe what I think about guys or something like that. I'd answer you all the same, but probably if it's about a guy, shouldn't you ask a guy?
5. Use the comments button to ask. I will repost it in a new entry with my reply.
